Here we find a ton of consoles who were made during history, where one was more fameous than the other...

The Collecovision was released in 1982 and was way better than the Atari 2600 or Intellivision at that time.
The first game that came with was Donkey Kong.

In 1979 was the first Intellivision on the market which was quite expensive back then. This was also the first game-console that had a pause-button. It could also download games over cable tv. In 1983 when Mattel wanted to launch the Intellivision III, the
big videogames market crashed. Thats why the 3rd version never has been released.

The Origin of the Vectrex Console
The Vectrex is a unique video game console that stood out from its contemporaries due to its built-in display and vector-based graphics. Here's a look at how it came into existence:
📦 Development and Background
The idea for the Vectrex originated with John Ross of Western Technologies/Smith Engineering in the United States.
It was later developed and brought to market by General Consumer Electronics (GCE) in 1982.
The well-known toy company Milton Bradley (MB) acquired the rights to distribute it globally, especially in Europe, shortly after its U.S. release.
💡 What Made It Unique
Unlike other consoles at the time that used raster graphics (like the Atari 2600), the Vectrex used vector graphics, which drew sharp, bright lines directly on the screen — similar to arcade games like Asteroids and Battlezone.
It featured a built-in 9-inch monochrome screen, which was rare for home consoles.
Players could place color overlays (transparent plastic sheets) over the screen to simulate color graphics.
It came with a built-in game: Mine Storm, a Asteroids-like shooter.
⚙️ Technical Innovation
The Vectrex was ahead of its time, offering accessories like a 3D Imager (an early 3D headset) and light pen for drawing.
The vector display offered crisp, flicker-free lines that stood out from pixel-based systems.
📉 The Downfall
Despite its innovation, the video game crash of 1983 hit the industry hard.
Milton Bradley, which had merged with Hasbro, decided to discontinue the console in 1984 due to declining sales.
🎮 Legacy
Although it had a short lifespan, the Vectrex has become a cult classic among retro gaming enthusiasts.
Its distinctive design and gameplay experience make it one of the most memorable and innovative consoles of the early 1980s.
